BILLS KO'D IN BLOWOUT VS PATRIOTS; SPILLER AND JACKSON IN ACTION

The Buffalo Bills got a little revenge from last year's victory against the Pats as New England won over the Bills, 52-28. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 22 for 39 passing with 350 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller both were activated for today's game, but it didn't put the punch into the Patriots defense as it was expected. Jackson had 13 carries for 29 yards and a fumble, but had 3 catches for 50 yards. C.J. Spiller had 8 carries for 33 yards and a fumble. Fitzpatrick has relied on tight end Scott Chandler so far this year, and boy do the stats show. Chandler had 4 catches for 62 yards along with 2 touchdowns. Stevie Johnson only had 2 catches for 23 yards. Not only did the quarterback from Harvard found Chandler in the end zone, Fitzpatrick connected with Donald Jones (2 catches, 90 yards, touchdown), and Brad Smith (2 catches, 49 yards, touchdown) as well.

Tom Brady made Bills fans even more frustrated as he went 22 for 36 passing with 340 yards and 3 touchdowns along with a 4 yard run into the end zone. Undrafted running back Brandan Bolden had 16 carries for 137 yards and a touchdown, and Stevan Ridley had 22 carries for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns. Wes Welker had 9 catches for 129 yards along with a fumble, which was later recovered by Jarius Byrd. Rob Gronkowski had another monsterous game as he had 5 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown along with a fumble, which was recovered by Byron Scott. Former Redskins wide receiver Brandan Lloyd had 3 catches for 50 yards and a touchdown, and little Danny Woodhead also had a touchdown as well. On the defensive side for the Pats, Devon McCourty had 2 interceptions, and Tevan Wilson and Jerod Mayo had an interception. Dont'a Hightower and Chandler Jones each had a sack.

The Bills defense was only able to bring Brady down only once in the entire game with Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus getting half the credit apiece. The Bills are now 2-2 on the season and will take on the San Francisco 49ers next week in San Francisco.

Bills Win Over Browns; Spiller Leaves Game With Injury

The Buffalo Bills circled the wagons again as they won over the Cleveland Browns, 24-14. The great Jim Brown was in attendance to see both C.J. Spiller and Trent Richardson, the 3rd overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. The Bills got right to business and continued where they left off last week as Ryan Fitzpatrick hooked up with rookie wide receiver T.J. Graham for a 9 yard touchdown. Then, the Bills scored later in the first quarter as Fitzpatrick gave a little dump to C.J. Spiller who ran it in for 32 yards.

Later in the second quarter, Spiller went down with a shoulder injury and according to Chan Gailey, Spiller will be unlikely to play next week against the Patriots. Spiller will have an MRI tomorrow. Tashard Choice came in for relief and helped out the Bills offense as he had 20 carries for 91 yards.

The Bills did not find the end zone until the fourth quarter when Fitzpatrick found Stevie Johnson for a 9 yard touchdown. The Bills defense helped out as well. Mario Williams showed up in the game as he had 1.5 sacks along with 4 tackles. Mark Anderson, the other new Bills defensive lineman had a sack, and Kyle Williams had one as well. Bryan Scott and Leodis McKelvin each had an interception.

Ryan Fitzpatrick finished 22 for 35 passing with 208 yards and 3 touchdowns. C.J. Spiller finished the game with 4 carries for 16 yards, along with 2 catches for 42 yards along with his touchdown. Stevie Johnson had 7 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown. Scott Chandler had 2 catches for 22 yards, and Donald Jones had 5 for 42 yards. T.J. Graham had 3 catches for 24 yards along with his touchdown.

Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson got a dose of the Bills offense as he was only held to 27 yards on 12 carries along with a touchdown. Browns rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden was pressured by the Bills defense as he went 27 of 43 passing for 237 yards with a touchdown and 2 interceptions.

The Bills are 2-1 on the season so far and the Browns are 0-3. The Bills will play Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Vince Wilfork and the New England Patriots next week.
JACKS WIN FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON BEHIND SUPER STONE

The North Tonawanda Varsity Football Lumberjacks won their first game under Tony Trulizio as they won over the Kenmore East Bulldogs, 31-28. When junior running back Christian Mahoe went down in the second quarter with a sprained ankle, Trulizio gave the nod to sophomore Nehemiah Stone, who did his job by rushing for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Jacks rushing squad put up a monstrous 386 yards, 202 of those yards coming in the first half.

Down 28-23 in the fourth quarter, Stone had a huge 34 yard return and the Jacks put up shop at their own 49 yard line. Then on 3rd and 2, Jacks starting quarterback Chris Woodard had a monstrous 30 yard run rushing past a ton of defenseman to get the Jacks inside the red zone. And then, everybody went bananas as Nehemiah Stone scored the game winning touchdown on a 6 yard run.

"I knew I had to step up and coach looked at me and said 'it's your time.' I just wanted a shot," Stone said after the game. "I was just taking whatever my line gave me. I just ran where there was a hole, and on some of those touchdowns, I could've walked in. That's not me, that's the line."

Before Stone entered the game, Christian Mahoe had 8 carries for 103 yards before he went down with a sprained ankle. Coach Trulizio says Mahoe is day to day with the injury and he will know the junior's status later in the week. The Jacks are now 1-3 on the season.

SPILLER HAS A THRILLER IN BILLS HOME OPENER

The Buffalo Bills get their train back on the tracks as they won over the Kansas City Chiefs, 35-17. With Fred Jackson out with a right leg injury, C.J. Spiller was given the workload again, and helped out a lot of fantasy owners with his performance. Spiller had 15 carries for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns, along with 3 receptions for 47 yards, putting on a show for the home fans. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 10 for 19 passing for 178 yards along with 2 touchdowns, hooking up with Scott Chandler (2 catches, 53 yards), and Stevie Johnson (2 catches, 56 yards), on a 43 yard touchdown. The special teams helped out as well as Leodis McKelvin scored an 88 yard punt return touchdown!

A few days after his brother was killed, Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus got a standing ovation from the fans and thanked the fans by recording a sack. Kyle Williams had 2. The Williams on the front line, Mario, had a fumble recover, but hasn't recorded a sack yet. Bryan Scott had a fumble recovery, and Jarius Byrd ended the game with an interception in the end zone. The Bills will head to Cleveland to face the Browns next Sunday.
JACKS WIN FIRST GAME OF SEASON OVER WILL NORTH

The North Tonawanda Junior Varsity Football Squad won over Williamsville North to win their first game of the season, 28-21. With starting quarterback Ryan McDonough on the sidelines, coach Sean Bruso turned to freshman Tyler Clare, who helped lead the team to victory.

"I would give Clare an A today because for his first start ever, he did really well setting the tempo, and making some audibles," coach Bruso said after the game. With 2:50 left in the first quarter, the Jacks were down 7-0 until a man named Tyjier Brandy changed all that. Brandy scored a 52 yard touchdown run to cut the lead to 7-6. Everyone knew after that drive that the Jacks offense was hungry and waiting for another possession.

Early in the second quarter, Williamsville North scored another touchdown off a 10 yard run by their running back and the Billies were up by 8. Then Brandy got the ball again and this time he took it to the house from 68 yards, and made the two point conversion to tie up the score at 14. Then with 2:27 left to go in the first half, Williamsville North scored again and entered into halftime with a 21-14 lead.

The Jacks scored again with just over four minutes left in the third quarter thanks to a 9 yard run by halfback Sam Millioto. The Jacks were down by one point, 21-20. In the second half, the Jacks defense kept the Billies offense from scoring as they held them to zero points.

The Jacks had a huge run by "Lovable" Lou Medina as he kept their eight minute drive alive with a 19 yard run, his only touch of the game. Then, with 2:44 left in the fourth quarter, the Jacks scored their game winning touchdown thanks to a six yard run by Alex Aurigema. Aurigema later made the two point conversion. On their second to final drive of the game, the Billies were stopped by defensive lineman Hayden Holmes, who recorded his two sacks of the game on back to back plays to force a turnover on downs. As the Jacks tried to run down the clock, Millioto fumbled the ball, but the Jacks had a ton of faith in their defense. They were right. After a Bailey Franusiak sack, Williamsville North were facing 3rd and 20 at the Jacks 43 yard line. With five seconds left, the man who scored the game winning touchdown, Alex Aurigema sealed the win for the Jacks with an interception.

Augiema finished the game with 2 carries for 10 yards and the touchdown. Tyjier Brandy had a huge game with 8 carries for 198 yards along with his 2 touchdowns. Sam Millioto had 13 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown. The team can't wait for their next game next week.
