BILLS GET DEPLETED BY NINERS IN SAN FRAN
It was a tough trail again for the Buffalo Bills as they lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 45-3, in Candlestick Park on Sunday afternoon. Ryan Fitzpatrick and the offense struggled to get a drive going as he went 16 of 26 passing for 126 yards and an interception. Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller struggled as well as Jackson had 9 carries for 29 yards and Spiller had 7 carries for 24 yards. Combined, the two had a total of 53 yards off of 16 carries and only averaged 3.5 yards per carry. The only big running play for the team came from Brad Smith off the Wildcat for a 35 yard run. Stevie Johnson had only 6 catches for 39, and Scott Chandler had 4 receptions for 40 yards. Marcell Dareus had the only big defensive play of the game for the team with a fumble recovery.
As for the 49ers, quarterback Alex Smith went 18 for 24 along with 303 yards and 3 touchdowns. Smith had the highest QBR this week at 99.2. Frank Gore had 14 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown. Backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick had 4 carries for 39 yards and a touchdown. Anthony Dixon had a rushing touchdown as well. Michael Crabtree led the 49ers receivers in receiving with 6 catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. Kyle Williams and Mario Manningham also score a touchdown apiece as well. Randy Moss, the former Patriot, only had one catch for 11 yards. The Bills are now 2-3 on the year and will take on the Cardinals in Arizona next week.
